FAQ

No. The form ID is public-safe; it’s designed to be visible in your HTML. It can only send submissions to your form; it can’t read your data or access your account.

Think of it like an email address: someone could email you if they have it, but they can’t read your emails.

What if someone finds my form ID and sends spam through it?

Section titled “What if someone finds my form ID and sends spam through it?”

Formkove has multiple layers blocking abuse:

  • Honeypot: bots fill your configured hidden honeypot field, which marks submissions as spam
  • Rate limits: 10 submissions per minute and 30 per hour from one IP to one form
  • Cloudflare Turnstile (all plans): adds captcha protection with no per-submission fees
  • AI spam filter (all plans, on by default): spam is held back before any notification goes out

If you see spam coming through, enable Turnstile or contact support.

Yes, on every plan. Add your site under Settings → Allowed Origins & Redirects. Browsers will only accept Formkove’s response for fetch() submissions from those origins, and ?redirect= only works for those domains.

Allowed Origins is a browser-level control: it can’t stop someone posting directly with a script. Pair it with Turnstile if you need that.

Formkove is built with GDPR in mind: submissions are stored until you delete them, you can export or delete your data yourself, and a DPA is available. We don’t sell your data.

For formal compliance questions, consult a legal advisor.

Formkove runs on Cloudflare’s global network, and email is sent through AWS SES in the US. Data may be processed in Canada, the United States and other countries where these providers operate. See the Privacy Policy.

  • Submissions are stored until you delete them, delete the form, or delete your account
  • Webhook delivery history is kept for 30 days
  • Generated exports expire after 24 hours
  • Form configuration (form ID, emails, integrations) is stored in your account
  • Security logs are kept for abuse prevention

What’s the difference between honeypot and Turnstile?

Section titled “What’s the difference between honeypot and Turnstile?”
Honeypot Turnstile
Cost Free You bring your own Cloudflare keys
User interaction None (invisible) User may see a checkbox challenge
Blocks advanced bots Somewhat Yes
Per-submission fee No No

Honeypot is built in and works automatically. Turnstile gives stronger protection if you’re seeing persistent bot issues.

Why does Formkove use Turnstile instead of reCAPTCHA?

Section titled “Why does Formkove use Turnstile instead of reCAPTCHA?”

reCAPTCHA sends user data to Google and charges per validation. Turnstile is privacy-first; Cloudflare doesn’t track users across sites and there are no per-submission fees.

How does Formkove know what tags to assign?

Section titled “How does Formkove know what tags to assign?”

You define the tags in the dashboard using plain language (e.g., “sales lead”, “support request”). Formkove reads each submission and decides which tags apply. You don’t train a model; just describe what you care about.

Does AI classification work on all submissions?

Section titled “Does AI classification work on all submissions?”

Yes, on every submission to an AI-enabled form, up to 300 per hour per form. Spam (score 0.7 or higher) is quarantined: it stays in your dashboard but no notifications or webhooks go out, and it doesn’t count toward your monthly limit.

Yes, the AI spam filter. Every submission to a Free form is checked for spam before the notification email goes out, and spam is quarantined. Sentiment, custom tags, and routing by AI result are Pro and Agency features.

  • AI spam filter
  • Email notifications (up to 2 recipients per form)
  • Honeypot spam protection

Agency has everything in Pro, with 30,000 submissions/month and a separate workspace for each client (up to 10 members each).

Pro is $12/month or $120/year; Agency is $29/month or $290/year.

What happens when I hit my submission limit?

Section titled “What happens when I hit my submission limit?”

We email the workspace owner at 80% and at 100% of the monthly limit.

  • Free: new submissions are refused once you reach 300, until the next calendar month (UTC) or until you upgrade.
  • Pro and Agency: we keep accepting submissions for another 10% of your limit (up to 13,200 on Pro, 33,000 on Agency), so a busy month doesn’t cost you leads. After that, new submissions are refused until the next month or until you upgrade.

Submissions you’ve already received are never deleted.
